The Zugspitze
Germany’s highest mountain
At 2,962 metres, the Zugspitze is Germany’s highest mountain and one of the Alps’ most iconic vantage points. In good weather with clear visibility, you can enjoy a view spanning four countries, featuring peaks of 2,000 and 3,000 metres and the only 4,000-metre peak in the Eastern Alps. From Ehrwald, you can reach the summit in just 10 minutes on the Tiroler Zugspitzbahn (cable car). The ride on the panoramic cable car is an experience in itself.www.zugspitze.at
