Hut and alpine hikes directly from the hotel

Above the Talhof is the Hahnenkamm - a wonderful hiking area, which you can also reach with the Bergwelt Hahnenkamm cable car.

In the hiking area you can stop off at 5 different huts and mountain pastures. In the Reutte holiday region, a total of 14 managed huts and mountain pastures await you.

Particularly worth seeing is the large Alpine flower garden, just a few minutes from the Hahnenkamm mountain station. It was founded in 1976 first by the Reutte mountain rescue centre, and now it shines in new splendour. This area is even accessible for families with pushchairs or wheelchairs. Main flowering period: end of June to end of August. Late flowering in October.

You can reach the following mountain pastures directly from us without using the car

  • Gehren Alm from Winkel, take the path towards Gehren Alm. We recommend the path as it is sheltered from the sun by the forest and the nature also offers variety. Hiking time approx. 2 hours. For experienced hikers approx. 1 1/2 hours.
  • Lechaschauer Alm you can start directly behind the house and hike approx. 2 hours to the Alm, then you can continue to the Lechaschauer and then walk to the Hahnenkamm mountain station.
  • Höfener Alm is located directly below the Hahnenkamm mountain station. You can walk down from the mountain station in approx. 15 minutes, or walk up from the valley station in approx. 2 hours.
  • Schneetalalm from the Lechaschauer Alm about another 20 minutes. Can also be hiked from Nesselwängle (car park outside Nesselwängle on the right-hand side) or also with the Reutten mountain railway.
  • Gimpelhaus can be reached from the Hahnenkamm in approx. 1 1/2 hours, then continue to the Gimpelhaus (another 20 minutes). Descent to Nesselwängle. From there you can take the Postbus back (timetable at the Reuttener Bergbahn valley station or Höfen Gemeinde!).
  • Musauer Alm - you hike along the Panoramahöhenweg past the Frauensee lake, the Frauenwald forest to the Musauer Alm. Otto Mayerhütte - accessible via the Musauer Alm. Füssener Hütte - accessible via the Musauer Alm and Otto Mayerhütte
