Whether winter hikes or out and about on snowshoes. Hiking is also, or especially, great fun in winter. The fresh air pampers lungs and soul and the stress of everyday life is forgotten. We always have a tip for your winter hike and are happy to provide you with maps. You can set off directly from our Talhof and need nothing more than the desire to be outdoors.
Children especially enjoy the animal track hikes with the rangers of the Lech Nature Park and the Akpaka walks offered as part of the Active Card programme are a real hit for animal lovers of all ages. A torch-lit hike with us to nearby Ehrenberg Castle is a romantic experience.

At 1,000 m above sea level, your winter holiday at the Panoramahotel Talhof in Wängle begins with a wonderful panoramic view of a white snow-covered landscape of mountains and valleys. While you're filling up on breakfast in the morning, winter paths, cross-country trails and ski slopes have already been perfectly prepared for you. On your return, the cosiness of our traditional hotel, the warmth of the saunas and our delicious Tyrolean cuisine await you.
Cross-country skiing
For many, there is nothing more beautiful than gliding through a beautifully snow-covered landscape on Nordic skis. In only 100 m you enter the Hahnenkamm cross-country ski trail and thus a 100 km network of cross-country ski trails.
Skiing
In just 5 minutes' walk you are at the lift that takes you to the well-kept Hahnenkamm ski area. There is even more downhill fun in the Zugspitz Arena and Tannheimer Valley ski areas (20-30 minutes by car).
Winter and snowshoe hikes
Step by step, the snow-covered winter landscape lifts your mood, spirits and romantic feelings. Choose from 57 winter hiking trails.
Lumagica
In winter, the venerable Ehrenberg Castle is transformed into a veritable sea of lights that makes children's eyes sparkle from afar. "Lumagica" is an enchanting light installation with spherical sounds that brings even more magic to the Christmas season. Even the more than 400 metre long Highline 179 suspension bridge is decorated with thousands of lights and amazes young and old alike.
Reutte on Ice
The winter highlight in Reutte is the adventure ice skating and skate park in the park area of the Reutte sub-market. On more than 2,000 m², ice princesses and those who want to become one can enjoy an ice paradise. From mid-November to the end of February, you can experience the magic of winter in the largest ice skating park in western Austria. Ice skating, pirouetting, curling or ice hockey: Reutte on Ice is a wonderful destination, especially for families.
